A Lifetime of Service
I'm a third-generation Arizona native and have proudly called Gilbert home for more than 14 years.
Public service has been part of my family’s story for generations. In 1950, my great-aunt became the first woman to run for Governor of Arizona. Although she narrowly lost by just 1,500 votes, she went on to serve as Arizona’s State Auditor for 25 years. My aunt later worked alongside Carolyn Warner in the Arizona Department of Education, and my uncle served as Chief of Police in Scottsdale.
Growing up surrounded by people who believed in serving others taught me that strong communities don’t happen by accident—they happen when ordinary people step forward.
That lesson shaped my own life. While still in high school, I volunteered on Governor Raúl Castro’s campaign, beginning a lifelong commitment to civic engagement. Whether canvassing for candidates, volunteering with local organizations, or serving my neighbors here in Gilbert, giving back has always been part of who I am.

Since retiring in 2024 I have spent time volunteering at both the Higley Center for Performing Arts and the Chandler Center for Performing Arts.
I have volunteered for Town of Gilbert events and at Feed My Starving Children and Saving One Life at PetSmart which is a no kill charity for cats. In my spare time I walk at least 6 miles a day and work out in my home gym. I also like to curl up with a good book.
Committed to our community
Today, our community faces challenges that deserve thoughtful, practical leadership.
After retiring, I found myself paying closer attention to the decisions affecting our neighborhoods, schools, and families. Rather than simply becoming frustrated, I decided to put my experience to work and become part of the solution.
Over the course of more than 50 years in the private sector, including 25 years at Motorola and leadership roles with Honeywell and General Dynamics, I built the skills needed to serve effectively in public office. My work in purchasing, logistics, budgeting, contract negotiations, and operations taught me how to manage large budgets responsibly, negotiate complex agreements, solve difficult problems, and balance competing priorities.
Those are the same practical skills I’ll bring to the Arizona House: listening carefully, managing taxpayer dollars responsibly, finding common-sense solutions, and remembering that every decision should make life better for the people I represent.
